Aup blog spot

Over the course of the year, we search for AUP blogs to feature and share with our global community. Professional, academic and personal blogs are a great way to keep abreast of alumni activities and stay in touch with former classmates, faculty and friends. If you have a blog that you would like us to highlight on AAO, click here or send an email to alumni@aup.fr.

September 2011

Bridgette Austin, a current Master’s in Global Communication student, is our September AUP Blog Spot feature. Her blog, Sustainability et La Durabilité focuses on an issue that has captured most of the world’s attention: energy and sustainable development.

Bridgette states, “After being exposed to the green building sector while working in New York City, I began noticing that corporate and consumer attention were trending towards environmentally-friendly products and "greener" business practices. Moving from the U.S. to France, it’s hard not to notice the differences between the two countries around areas such as public transport and clean energy, as well as what each region can possibly learn from the other.”

Visit Sustainability et La Durabilité to read about Bridgette’s experiences and observations on the sustainability cultures in France and the U.S.

July 2011

For families sending kids off to college or graduate school for the first time, sorting through the massive amount of information on college applications and the admissions process can be overwhelming. A former international admissions counselor and 2011 AUP alumna, Theresa Bruketta  offers insights on U.S. universities and colleges in her blog, reesabru.com.

Theresa explains, "Through this site, I wish to provide free information for students and families considering colleges and universities in the American-style higher education system."

Check out Theresa's website at www.reesabru.com.

June 2011

Our June Blog Spot feature is Sharon Graber. A current student in AUP's Master's in Global Communication program, Sharon is a writer from New York City whose love of antique furniture, fashion and art inspired her to launch Scout Paris. As Sharon states on her blog, "My plan is to scout my way through this beautiful city in order to find inspiring ideas in art, fashion, design, food and lifestyle."

Visit Scout Paris to read Sharon's tips and tricks for navigating the world's top tourist destination. You can also follow her on Twitter @SharonGraber.
